Lesson 12.4: Create a profile of the target audience

Create a profile of a target audience for a social inclusion initiative, including their demographics, needs, and preferred communication channels.

What to consider?

Demographics

  • What is the age range of your target audience?
  • Are there specific locations (e.g., cities, neighborhoods) or communities they belong to?
  • What language(s) do they prefer for communication? Are there cultural sensitivities to consider?
  • Are there shared characteristics, such as job type, income level, or educational background?

Needs

  • What barriers or challenges related to social inclusion does this group face?
  • Are there particular services or resources they need but currently lack?
  • What are their primary goals or interests? How might they benefit from this initiative?
  • Are there specific cultural, social, or economic factors that affect them?

Preferred communication channels

  • How does this audience typically receive information (e.g., social media, local newsletters, community events)?
  • What digital platforms (if any) does this audience frequently use? Which are most accessible to them?
  • Do they prefer formal communications, such as official letters or newsletters, or informal ones, like videos or social media posts?
  • Are they likely to participate in interactive formats like webinars or in-person events?
