CREFOP Foundation (Resource Centre for Vocational Education and Training) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2006 in Romania, whose main mission for which it is committed is to promote inclusive education and innovation in education and vocational training.
Since its establishment, the foundation has developed important projects at national level, acting mainly in disadvantaged communities in several regions of Romania (North-West, Center, North-East, South-West Oltenia), in national projects financed from the European Social Fund, but also European programs, especially those aimed at developing innovation in education and training.
CREFOP is an authorized provider of vocational training provider, servicing a number of approx. 1500 trainees annually, who are engaged in programs of initiation, qualification or specialization in various professions, in the field of construction, services and tourism. Being addressed mainly to disadvantaged people (disabled persons, Rome, long-term unemployed, etc.) the training is accompanied by programs of increasing self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as courses on the formation of key competences. The programs and services of employment, guidance and counselling, mediation in which the foundation is accredited since 2013 are also the basic elements of the services it offers on the Romanian market, meant to increase, in addition to the vocational training, the employability of its beneficiaries (approx. 6000 beneficiaries).
