Through this module company mentors will learn how to plan the necessary resources to support apprentices with fewer opportunities or experiencing some form of disadvantage. The module introduces company mentors to the roles and responsibilities of the main parties (company management, mentor and apprentice) during the apprenticeship and provides them with guidance on how to define and secure additional support for supporting apprentices with fewer opportunities or experiencing some form of disadvantage. The module also provides mentors with guidance on how to develop an effective company training plan required for supporting apprentices with fewer opportunities or experiencing some form of disadvantage. 

Lesson 5.1: What are the roles and responsibilities of different staff members during the apprenticeship 

You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of the company, the company mentor and the apprentice during the apprenticeship. 

Lesson 5.2: How to define and secure the required additional support 

You will learn how to define the additional support required for supporting apprentices with fewer opportunities or experiencing some form of disadvantage and will also learn how to explain effective mechanisms for securing additional support required for supporting apprentices with fewer opportunities or experiencing some form of disadvantage. 

Lesson 5.3: How to develop an effective company training plan 

You will learn to identify the key elements of an effective training plan required for supporting apprentices with fewer opportunities or experiencing some form of disadvantage.
