Lesson 10.3: Skill Development Programmes

Working on both soft and hard skills development helps apprentices learn new skills and discover interests.

Example:

Simulation exercise: create or use existing job simulation exercises that mirror real-world tasks in the apprentice’s field. For example, if they are interested in project management, have them develop a project plan and manage a simulated project.

  • Review their performance and provide feedback on areas such as project planning, resource management, and problem-solving.
  • Outcome: The apprentice gains practical experience and a better understanding of job expectations in their chosen field.
