Lesson 8.1: What do we understand on a disadvantage?

Disadvantage refers to any condition or circumstance that places an individual at a relative disadvantage compared to their peers, thereby limiting their opportunities for success.

A disadvantage is an unfavourable position that could make achieving goals and being successful more difficult. Some of the disadvantages are temporary, but some of them are for life with us.

This can include a range of factors such as socio-economic status, educational background, physical or mental health conditions, language barriers, and more.

When an apprentice has some type of disadvantage, it can be challenging them to learn how to get along with it.
